I'm back! I sincerely apologise for not blogging for a ridiculously long amount of time as I took a break and was focusing more on my studies. But that's that, now that I'm back, I'm going to start blogging about my vacation in Gold Coast for a week. LET'S START!

Day 1 & 2, 18/06/15-19/06/15
At around 7pm, I made my way to Changi Airport with my family and met up with my Aunt, Cousin in law, my niece and nephew to take a 8 hour flight over to Gold Coast airport. OMG can we talk about how freaking long sitting in an aeroplane for 8 hours is?? My butt was literally numb and sore plus I couldn't sleep well AT ALL... I am in love with travelling but yet I don't look forward to long flights, i mean who does?
Once we have landed in Gold Coast, it was the next day, we were greeted by our personal tour guide, Peter, for the entire trip, he was so friendly, everyone in Australia was so welcoming and friendly, Singapore needs this, I swear! Comparing Australians and us Singaporeans, we're like suffering from anger issues. There were smiles everywhere there.
After we got into our private coach, Peter drove us straight to movie world which was a 30 min drive from the airport. I played LOTS of extreme roller coasters and had loads of fun with my dad. I've always been an adrenaline junkie and it has always been from my dad, when i was very little, my dad used to always bring me on theme park rides whenever we travel and that's how i got my daddy's adrenaline rush, I'm not afraid of heights and I'm addicted to rides that could actually kill you.
After movie world, we checked into our hotel which was called 'Hotel Grand Chancellors' located at the heart of Surfers Paradise in Gold Coast and then went out for our Chinese dinner which was surprisingly not bad at all.
Day 3, 20/06/15
Shockingly, I woke up at 8 in the morning which is super rare for me as my body clock is screwed but i slept really early the night before as I was drained from all the travelling and theme park rides and with the 2 hour time difference, it was really exhausting for me.
Went downstairs for our all you can eat breakfast buffet which we had every single morning which was really fattening and unhealthy but i lied to myself and said it's just a one time vacation and that unhealthy eating is alright and this was literally the reason why i gained 2kg. Oops? NOT COMPLAINING HAHA.
After our breakfast, Peter drove us to sea world and we took loads of pictures as you can see above, well I wouldn't say much here as you know, theme parks are only filled with rides and there's nothing much to talk about it.
As you can see, I took a helicopter ride and flew all over Gold Coast which was amazing and beautiful, the view was surreal and I recommend everyone that's able to take a helicopter to do it, it's worth every single cent of money that you paid.
After the day has ended we had an all you can eat BBQ buffet for our dinner and it was delicious, they served expensive and very fresh seafood and a wide variety of dessert, i know this is making you hungry, I'm sorry. Actually I'm not. HAHAHA OOPS AGAIN.
Day 4, 21/06/15
Got up even earlier today at 7 in the morning to have our breakfast buffet which was the same as the one served at day 3. Peter drove us to Paradise country farm to feed kangaroos and cuddle a koala, to watch animal shows and do everything that you can in a farm.
We went over to a taste testing winery place that raises animals at their backyard and oh my god I saw an alpaca in real life! It's so adorable omg everyone needs to see an alpaca in real life they are exactly how everyone thinks they are, adorable!
After the wine tasting, we headed back to our hotel and dropped off a few wine that my parents bought and then we headed out for Thai food that was across the street from the hotel. We did some shopping, and by some i meant ALOT of damage. But that's that for day 4.
Day 5, 22/06/15
On the 5th day, we went to Dreamworld and this has to be by far, one of the BEST days i ever had in this life, i've gotten to sit so many extreme roller coaster rides like the one above, and I sat a ride that's called 'The Big Drop' or something, it was 30+ stories high up and it just hangs you there for about a minute before dropping you straight down. Gosh that was horrifying.
Then, we went to an observation deck up the 77th level and we took Australia's fastest lift, it took 1 minute to go up the 77th floor, yes, THAT FAST. I take about half a minute just to get up the 10th floor can you imagine how fast 1 minute is? Plus you don't feel anything at all!
After the sky point, we went for dinner and back to the hotel to crash, yup, that boring...
Day 6, 23/06/15
The last day before flying back and we made the most out of it, it was a free and easy day without our tour guide and we kept ourselves fully occupied by going to whale watching and jet boating, we can never see a whale swimming openly in Singapore, but then we took a boat out to surfer's paradise waters and saw two huge whales which I did not capture photos of them as they were too quick. But the video is up on my instagram @lynnvannabelle so if you're interested you can click on the username and hit the follow button while you're at it (SHAMELESS SELF PROMO).
After the jet boating we headed back to our hotel and dried ourselves before heading out for dinner, we had Hungry Jacks, which is a fast-food restaurant in Australia, it's similar to Mac Donalds and after dinner we had an early night before flying back to Singapore the next day.
Day 7, 24/06/15
It was a rainy day on the last day as we drove back to the airport, it was an end to our vacation, it was the time to say goodbye as they say 'There is an end to every good thing' , the sky was pouring and it was a dull morning indeed. We took an 8 hour flight back to Singapore and reality hit me so hard, it is so sad to let go a week of fun, not worrying about studies or friends or anything to be exact. And it made me realise to cherish every single thing that makes you happy and seize each day to make beautiful memories and take beautiful pictures to look back whenever you can.
As I end this blogpost, I promise everyone of you that's reading that I'll blog more often from today onwards and I sincerely apologise for keeping this blog so dead. As usual, I love you x.
xoxo,
Lynn
